Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU) announced today that the 2020 spring commencement ceremony would be cancelled, due to public health guidelines to minimize large gatherings and groups during the coronavirus public health emergency. The University’s Commencement Committee, however, is exploring other ways to recognize graduates.
“While we are cancelling our public recognition exercise, our Commencement Committee will continue to meet to devise other ways to honor our graduates and the hard work they’ve put in to reach this milestone in their education and future health professions careers,” said Dr. David M. Carlisle, President and CEO of Charles R. Drew University.
