The community mourns the loss of Carole Jordan-Harris, M.D.; her absence is greatly felt.
Born April 18, 1943, Edna Carole Jordan overcame the many obstacles of inner-city life choosing the path of education. Her desire to become a doctor, from a young age, never wavered.
Carole earned her B.S. degree in Zoology, continued her education earning a MT in Medical Technology, an MS degree in Microbiology, and as a single mother of three young daughters, an M.D. degree from the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Carole Jordan-Harris settled in Los Angeles, CA, began her solo medical practice in 1987, and continued her OB/GYN practice and committee service at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, with her office in the Cedar-Sinai Medical Towers, until her retirement in 2014.
Carole loved her daughters dearly and her ultimate pride and joy, and most treasured title, was being “Nana” to her nine grandchildren.
Dr.Carole Jordan-Harris was the beloved head of her family, a deeply respected professional and mentor, and an
extraordinarily generous international humanitarian. Dr. Jordan-Harris was a member of several boards and held membership in numerous organizations. Carole made a lasting impression and powerful impact on most everyone that she came in contact with.
Dr. Jordan-Harris remained very active in organizations that both served her communities and nurtured her many friendships; she was actively involved until merely days before her passing.
Carole Jordan Harris, M.D. transitioned peacefully the morning of August 11, 2017. Feeling her absence are her three daughters and their husbands, her nine grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, friends and countless members of the communities and organizations she served.
A memorial service for Carole Jordan- Harris, M.D. will take place at Faithful Central Bible Church 400 W. Florence Ave. Inglewood, CA 90301 on August 25, 2017 at 11:30.
