Celebration of Life Service for Bishop L. Daniel Williams takes place on March 1, at 11 a.m., at Citizens of Zion Baptist Church, 12930 S. Lime Ave., in Compton, said Pastor Bobby Newman, Jr.  Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Sr., Williams’ father in the ministry, and Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Jr., both of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church in Jacksonville, FL, will give eulogies. Serving in the ministry for 44 years, Williams was prominent in both the faith and civic communities.  He worked with faith leaders, elected officials and community members to address social issues affecting disadvantaged people. AME Community Lenten Caravan hosted by eight AME churches kicks-off March 13, at 7 p.m., at Price Chapel AME Church, 4000 W. Slauson Ave., in Los Angeles, said host Pastor Benjamin Hollins. Five more services leading up to Resurrection Sunday will be held to provide spiritual renewal for believers and raise funds to assist local nonprofits. Western Ave., in Los Angeles on April 17.
