Two Black women breaking barriers in the corporate world, Polished Consulting is redefining organizational performance in the corporate world by bridging effective leadership and wellness.  

Founded by Sherica Hymes and led alongside Roquita Coleman-Williams, this boutique consulting firm guides every member of the team, from an executive to an employee, to redirect their clients to success.  

Utilizing trusted scientific methods and verified strategies, Polished Consulting fosters sustained growth by providing their clients with the tools necessary to reach their organizational goals while offering the guidance and mentorship necessary to develop sustained growth.

Sherica Hymes, founder and CEO of Polished Consulting, emphasizes how she mentors and leads with empathy and experience, striving to provide clients with the guidance needed to cultivate their leadership philosophy.  

“What would I have needed if I was in your position? What did I need? I try to make sure that even if you don’t know the questions to ask me, I know the answers to give you so that you will know the questions to ask in the future,” Hymes said.  

Leading with the belief that sustainable leadership requires grounding principles, President and Managing Partner Coleman-Williams emphasizes her holistic approach that grounds her throughout her work.  

“We believe that true leadership starts from within,” Coleman-Williams said. “Wellness, faith and purpose are the foundation of sustainable success.”  

Through their work with major companies such as Nike, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the City of Memphis, Hymes and Coleman-Williams are breaking down barriers and creating pathways for women of color in corporate spaces. By providing mentorship, leadership development and strategic investment, they are not only addressing systemic obstacles but also ensuring that Black and Brown women have the tools and opportunities needed to thrive.  

“The first thing is breaking the cycle. We changed the system we’re in by investing into those that are coming after us,” Coleman-Williams said.  

“One of the ways I see myself is making that investment in organizational leadership. In building and giving leaders the tools and support that they need in order to build up people and build up businesses effectively.”  

As Polished Consulting continues to make an impact, Hymes and Coleman-Williams remain committed to reshaping corporate leadership by fostering leadership paths that are inclusive and belief- centered. Their work serves as a testament to the power of faith, representation, the belief that true leadership is about lifting up other with you.
