The Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, Inc. presents its Annual Thanksgiving Eve Cocktail Sip Fundraiser on Wednesday, November 23, at 7 p.m. at Cicada Restaurant and Lounge, located at 617 South Olive Street in downtown Los Angeles.

Proceeds from the event helps BWL fulfill their ongoing charitable and educational mission as well as supports the organization’s continuing legal education (CLE) panels on cutting edge topics, mentorship of law students and young lawyers and funding of its pro bono legal clinics.

BWL also provides holiday food and toy donations to non-profit organizations whose mission is to educate and support individuals and communities impacted by the pandemic and other life challenges, and awards of scholarships to deserving law students at its annual scholarship luncheon.

“BWL’s theme for 2022-2023 is Back to Our Roots: Engaging Our Communities to Inspire Change and Chart the Path Forward,” said BWL President Jasmine S. Horton.

“This year’s theme is Harlem Nights and guests will enjoy live entertainment, dancing, casino games with play money, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, two cash bars, custom photo booth, exclusive VIP lounge and bar and $10 valet parking,” added co-chairs Holly M. Parker and Heather E. Horn.
