Black Talkies On Parade presents Mark Cantor’s Jazz West Coast

Black Talkies On Parade welcomes back jazz historian and archivist Mark Cantor. Mark will present a curated show of shorts and clips celebrating Jazz on the West Coast. The program features a variety of jazz styles from Dixieland, to Bebop, to the vibrant sounds of Los Angele’s own Central Avenue. Stan Kenton, Buddy Collette, Dave Brubeck, Kid Ory, Terry Gibbs, Nat “King” Cole, Dave Brubeck, Harold Land are just a few of the performers featured in the show. Your afternoon host will be Lloyd Clayton, Executive Director. Following the screening we will have a Q&A with our speaker Mark Cantor. For more information on Cantor’s archive visit .
