A gathering of Black artists and community members will discuss the future of the arts on

Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 6:30 p.m., at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre, located at 4800 Hollywood Blvd., in Los Angeles.

The event, hosted by the Black Association of Documentary Filmmakers West (BADWest), will bring participants together “to connect, create, and envision a future where our artistry shapes the world we want to see,” said an organizer. The event is free with RSVP.

The moderators are Angela Gibbs, an actor, filmmaker, community activist and BADWest member; and Tiffany Judkins, a filmmaker, founder of Kinshipfilmworks and BADWest co- chair.

The panelists include Sandra Evers-Manley, founder/CEO of Black Hollywood Education Resource Center; Akil Bell, Black Women for Wellness; Rosie Lee Hooks, Watts Tower Arts Center; Diane Robertson, Leimert Park Jazz Festival; and other representatives from various Black arts organizations.
