An ‘Expungement/Prop 47 Workshop’ will highlight the Save Our Sons Prison Ministry meeting on Sunday, July 19, at 2:30 p.m., at Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 3740 Don Felipe Drive in Los Angeles.

According to Pastor Royce Porter, Sr., Criminal Defense Attorney MaryEtta Marks will be the guest speaker. With more than 25 years of experience, Attorney Marks is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and a former Los Angeles County Deputy Public Defender.

The Prop 47 eligible felonies are simple drug possession, less than $950 worth of shoplifting,  petty theft, forgery, bad checks, or receipt of stolen property.  Also, individuals must not have prior convictions for rape, or murder, or child molestation, a sex offender registrant, or on probation or serving a sentence.
