Recently, California State Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer (D-South Los Angeles) addressed the 2022 African American Leaders for Tomorrow (AALT) cohort at the California African American Museum (CAAM) in Exposition Park.
Fifty-six high school students from across the state were given a private tour of CAAM and treated to a special dinner in downtown Los Angeles. Members of the cohort attended a three-day retreat where they engaged in learning activities, including a mock debate on proposed legislative policy.
