With gas prices at an all-time high throughout Los Angeles, working families are being hit hard.

Active Recycling is stepping up, once again, to assist the community in these times of need. All public customers (not commercial accounts) can receive FREE $20 gas cards and get paid top dollar for their recyclables.

Also, all public customers can receive free $20 gas cards when dumping trash. Gas cards are available to customers with weight tickets from iron, tin, cardboard, newspaper or trash with an accumulated weight of 3,000 lbs or more.

All tickets must belon to the same customer/license plate number. Once your weight tickets add up to 3,000 lbs you must claim your $20 gas card right away.

On top of this free gas card program, Active Recycling is working to reduce illegal trash dumping, and accept free trash up to 500 lbs from new customers. To qualify for the free trash dumping promotion, vehicles and trailers are excluded from this promotion.

“For over forty-eight years, Active Recycling has been working to improve the city of Los Angeles. As the largest dual trash transfer station and recycling center in Los Angeles, Active strives to be a strong community partner.” A representative from Active Recycling told the Los Angeles Sentinel. “We are all in this together and Active Recycling will continue to do its part to support the community.”

The Free Gas Card Program will start Wednesday, March 30 at 10 am at Active Recycling (2000 W. Slauson Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90047). They can be reached at (323)295-7774.
