But I couldn’t take my eyes off Sanaiya Wright’s complexion. It was the perfect balance of glow and matte, so flawless it made me pause. She kindly broke it down for me, comparing Danessa Myricks’ products to the new Ta foundation.

L.A. Sentinel: Ms. Sanaiya Wright, you gave me that Harlem vibe, and I am here for it. Tell me, why Danessa Myricks?
Sanaiya Wright: I choose Danessa Myricks because her brand reignited my passion for makeup. At a time when many brands seemed to offer similar products and innovation was lacking, I found myself disenchanted with the makeup industry. However, discovering her brand changed everything. What makes Danessa Myricks’ line special is her innovative approach and versatility.
LAS: Well, you look amazing in that brand. Honestly, I thought it was your skin but better, as if kissed by God. I didn’t purchase the Patrick Ta foundation. It made me rethink my foundation for the fall and winter.
SW: Thank you. To answer your question, my favorite product from her collection is the Colorfix, a long-wearing, multi-use, waterproof, and buildable cream pigment. I use it in various ways: as a color corrector, concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lipstick. Sometimes, I even mix it with the Blurring Balm Universal to use as a cream blush, bronzer, and foundation.
LAS: The Blurring Balm Universal? What is that?
