Good Shepherd Baptist Church, located at 5120 West 53rd Street in Los Angeles, was the site of the inaugural “Shop & Shower” sponsored by Katina Holliday of Holliday’s Helping Hands (HHH), a nonprofit that specializes in finding housing for this vulnerable population and preparing them to live independent and productive lives.

The event, held on May 17, attracted scores of unhoused individuals taking advantage of the free offerings.  Attendees were able to select clothing, take showers if desired, enjoy a nutritious lunch, and receive hygiene kits containing sunscreen in anticipation for the summer months.
