Free prostate cancer screenings will be available on Saturday, Feb. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the medical clinic on 7301 S. Western Ave., in Los Angeles.
In addition to evaluations by qualified physicians, the event will feature educational information, free refreshments, and music by DJ Jah Moon, said Dr. Dana Scott of Gold Standard Urology Medical Group and event organizer.

“I truly understand how prostate cancer affects our community. I, along with Dr. Carmora Scotland of UCLA Health, want to help take care of the men you love,” said Scott, who shared prostate cancer information at the 2023 Taste of Soul Family Festival.
Encouraging women to tell men to attend, she added, “Ladies, tell the men in your life that you love them – I’m talking your father, brother, uncle, son, husband, boyfriend – by inviting them to the free prostate screenings.”
