Metro is the official Transportation Partner and Premiere Sponsor of the 17th Annual Taste of Soul Family Festival, coming on October 15th, 2022.

The Taste of Soul team recommends that, this year, you take the Metro to Taste of Soul to avoid any issues regarding parking or getting to LA’s favorite family event. Prior to Taste of Soul, we will also be giving away FREE Metro Tap Cards. Make sure you’re keeping up to date on our social media (@tos_streetfestla) and website (www.tasteofsoulla.com) for more information.

“Having Metro as our Official Transportation Partner and Premiere Sponsor in this year’s Taste of Soul is the perfect demonstration of what our beloved event is all about. The opening of the Crenshaw Line is a major and long-awaited accomplishment for the businesses and residents along the Crenshaw Corridor,” stated Danny J. Bakewell, Sr., Chairman of Bakewell Media and Creator/Founder of Taste of Soul.

Mr. Bakewell continued, “Taste of Soul is the most significant celebration of our community, as well as a preeminent demonstration of the economic impact Black people have in the city and creating our own future. The partnership, in conjunction with the opening of the Crenshaw Line demonstrates to everyone the significance, the importance, and the strength that our community has to offer. We applaud Metro’s CEO Stephanie Wiggins, the Metro Board, and the entire Metro Team in partnering with us to help bring Los Angeles the largest, FREE community festival in the entire State, if not the nation.”

This year, Metro will also be conducting an in-person activation, located on Crenshaw and Coliseum, for all of the community to enjoy.

“Metro is proud to sponsor Taste of Soul, the quintessential family festival in South Los Angeles,” said Metro CEO Stephanie Wiggins. “We hope that everyone will go Metro to the Expo/Crenshaw station, the best way to get to and from the festival. Bring the family, support small business, and enjoy the best that Crenshaw has to offer at one of L.A. County’s premier community events!”
