Tura Aloha Barnes 82, of Los Angeles, California, passed away on March 17, 2021 at her home. Tura was born in Bluefield, West Virginia to Robert Barnes and Mary Elizabeth West Barnes. She started her medical career for nursing in Trenton, New Jersey where she became a registered nurse. After moving to California, her career blossomed as she joined the ‘ Cedars Sinai Medical Center’, working with newborns and Pediatrics. She later worked at the, ‘ Long Life Adult Day Care’, and then finished at, ‘ SHIELDS for families’.
Tura loved the babies and often you’d hear her stories of ‘her babies’, long after they had gone home. Tura loved Los Angeles and was a faithful member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
Tura leaves to mourn her passing, a daughter Tirzah (John) Waters and grandson John David of Belleville, New Jersey, , a sister Robin ( Kevin) Wallace of Atlanta, Georgia, a niece Cassandra Watson of Lakeland, Florida, nephews Reginald ( Aida) Watson of Willingboro, New Jersey, Donald ( Janice) Watson of Ft. Myers, Florida, Wayne ( Cheryl) Watson of Ashburn, Virginia, special sisters Wanda, Paula and Lynette of Los Angeles, special brothers Wayne Mason of Los Angeles and Reggie ( Karen ) Mason of Atlanta, Georgia, and a special niece Vynette ( Drexale) of Los Angeles, and many loving great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
