The Mount Sinai Church of Los Angeles celebrated the opening of its preschool, The Mt. Sinai Church Early Learning Center, at a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony in September.
Alvinette Strong with L.A. City Council President Herb Wesson’s office was on hand to present Pastor George E. Hurtt and school director, Erika Williams, with a proclamation commemorating the event.
The school provides a diverse educational experience and attentive childcare for children ages two through five. The curriculum includes sharing and conversation time, reading, singing, creative art activities, crafts, Spanish language lessons, outdoor play and exploration, yoga, and dance.
Preschool parent, Shmel Graham, shared her thoughts about the new learning center. “My son Carter is thriving here. He is learning shapes, colors, numbers, matching and sequencing all while developing wonderful friendships in a family environment.”
“I encourage everyone to support our center and join us at our fundraiser and lunch on Saturday, October 5, at 12 noon at the L.A. City Club, 555 S. Flower Street, in downtown Los Angeles. The school is a great resource for this community, and we look forward to serving more families in the coming months,” commented Erika M. Williams, Director. “Buy your tickets today and help us build our wonderful preschool.”
The Mt. Sinai Early Learning Center is located at 3717 W. 54th Street, in Los Angeles. To learn more about the fundraiser and preschool, contact Erika Williams at (323) 903-6504 or online at www.mtsinaiELC.org.
