On Father’ Day, June 18, Estelle for Humanity will be presenting the 16th Annual “Honor Thy Father Awards Dinner” to honor the men that are making a difference in the lives of their family and their community.

The Father’s Day event will be held at the newly-renovated Proud Bird Restaurant, 11022 Aviation Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90045. The Red Carpet starts at 2:30 p.m., and the Dinner program starts at 3:00 p.m.

This is a community call to action. With all of the negative projections directed towards Black men Estelle for Humanity sheds a powerful light on the many men that are father’s, husbands, and mentors that are making a difference in the lives of not only family members, but neighbors, and community members as well.

“These are our real men”, said Denise Estelle, Founder/CEO of the “Honor Thy Father Awards”. She further states, “All too often, sagging pants, disrespect, drugs, and crime are the words most commonly used in association with the men in the Black community.

The airwaves and newspapers continue on a regular basis to show that Black men have no allegiance to their family or community.

Estelle for Humanity sheds light on a little known fact that a large number of African American men are there and standing strong for their families with its annual “Honor Thy Father Awards Dinner”. [email protected], www.honorthyfatherawards.com
