The 10th Council District Women’s Steering Committee will host their annual Health and Wellness Seminar on Friday, October 25, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Department of Water and Power, 4030 Crenshaw Blvd., in Los Angeles.
According to WSC president Jacqueline Nunn, the keynote speaker will be Dr. Cherilyn Lee, a certified natural healthcare professional, entrepreneur and founder of NuWellness Healthcare Center.
“The community is invited to attend this free event and hear from Dr. Lee, an integrative healthcare trailblazer, wellness advocate and philanthropist,” said Nunn. “She will share information on advancements in natural health, physical fitness, nutrition integrative medicine, and self-discovery.
This program will also include free cardiovascular screenings and informational booths featuring representatives from Morgan Stanley, Southern California Preparedness Foundation and whole food nutrition. Also, Lee will give away 10 “Wellness Designer Masks.”
Lee is acclaimed for the humanitarian work she conducts through her nonprofit, the NuWellness Development Foundation. The L.A. City Council and the U.S. State Department have commended her efforts and she twice received Lifetime Achievement Awards from former president Barack Obama.
Her show, “NuWellness TV with Dr. Lee,” reaches thousands via podcast, YouTube and iHeartRadio.
In addition, she is the author of “Written Before I Was Born,” which tells her life’s story and includes positive messages of faith, healing, overcoming and living in a spirit of forgiveness and joy.
