Michael Jackson Murdered?

Why friends, fans, and family think so

A growing number of people, a good number of Michael Jackson fans among them, are beginning to think the unthinkable-that the King of Pop was murdered. While in the process of still attempting to wrap their minds around Michael’s death, evidence is beginning to trickle in that Michael Joseph Jackson was probably murdered. LaToya Jackson, Michael Jackson’s older sister, is convinced that her brother was murdered on June 25, 2009. Others in the family feel the same way, but aren’t making any public statements to that effect. LaToya will sit down with ABC’s Barbara Walters next week during a 20/20 interview on the ominous date of September 11.

Meanwhile, Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, went public and said that everyone involved in any way with Michael’s death-not just his personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray-should be brought to justice. Who might some of these be? While the elder Jackson did not name names in his interview with NBC others point fingers at AEG promoters of Michael’s London concert; the mysterious three people Dr. Murray spoke with after he discovered Michael wasn’t breathing; and the mysterious Dr. Tohme Tohme, a non-practicing physician. Michael told a close confidante that he was afraid of Tohme because the doctor was isolating the Pop star from long-time friends and family, and had taken control of the Gloved One’s finances. Tohme brokered the deal between Michael and AEG, and was married to Randy Philip’s sister. Philip’s heads AEG, and his sister is a clinical psychologist in Torrance.

Michael’s brother Marlin weighed in by stating candidly: “I don’t think anyone tried to kill Michael on purpose but something went wrong, something happened and, yes, some of my family do think it’s murder.” Marlin went on to complain: “He had too many ‘yes’ men around him. I’m talking about the doctors who were around him, the people he had working for him. It’s sad to say but these doctors would do anything for the money.”

Cover Up: Michael’s supporters say an overwhelming hint that suggests he was murdered is the fact that security video footage showing the final moments before he died is missing. It is alleged that insiders who worked with Michael hid drugs and sanitized the scene. Police confirm that there was an elaborate video surveillance system at Michael’s compound that recorded everything. The National Enquirer reports one LAPD source as saying of this system: “It was a very sophisticated and high-tech surveillance and security system. Not only were there cameras outside the house, but there were cameras inside as well-in private locations.” But, alas, “critical evidence was removed before investigators obtained their first search warrant,” says the Enquirer as it quoted authorities.

And why haven’t we heard from Alberto Alverez? He was the bodyguard that made the 911 call from his cell phone. One cannot help but ask, why didn’t Dr. Murray call 911 instead of the three people he did call while Michael laid dying (or, was probably dead) on the bed? RadarOnline.com interviewed Alberto’s wife Anna. “My husband is very upset and he needs some time,” she is reported to have said. “He won’t be home for a while.” The investigative Web site states further: “Anna told RadarOnline.com…that Alberto was staying at an undisclosed location. It is unclear why he is not staying at home and if police have told him not to talk to anyone. Anna Alverez wouldn’t tell reporters what her husband told LAPD and she refused to discuss what he told her about his 911 call seeking help for the stricken pop star.”

Family Saw It Coming?: It has been leaked that Michael’s family suspected he was about to become the victim of premeditated murder. Reportedly, they even alerted law enforcement as well as the media in a desperate attempt to prevent it. Not having concrete evidence neither the press nor the police could do much about it. How do you effectively accuse someone who is about to commit murder? There is no such provision on the books. Regrettably, you have to wait until the unspeakable crime is committed first, then report it. And you certainly can’t take the law into your own hands and kill who you think is the suspect. If you do, now you’re the murderer.

Michael: An Inviting Target: Success for Michael Jackson was a two-edged sword. Family members and others allege that unsavory elements who stand to gain a financial windfall at Michael’s death are the very ones who orchestrated his demise. Complicating the family’s effort was Michael’s dependence on prescription medication coupled with his long standing tendency to isolate himself from his family. When these two factors are combined with Michael’s general boyish tendency to be trusting of others, unscrupulous individuals can easily take advantage of him.

Michael’s Final Farewell: Michael is being buried today in the family’s compound at Los Angeles’ Forest Lawn Memorial Park. According to one source, his body was “stored in a refrigerated morgue at the cemetery.” Michael’s three children have written letters which are to be placed in his coffin. They read, “Daddy we love you,” and, “Daddy we miss you.” Some of his younger family members were actually a part of his upcoming production, working in the background. They say the King of Pop was at the top of his game. Others, though, state that it was doubtful that he could do 50 shows. This same source says that Marlin “claims Michael will also be buried with his trademark white glove, and has been fitted with a new shoulder-length wig,” and that Michael’s “face has also been painted with full stage makeup.” Special cameras and alarms will prevent grave robbers stealing his body.

Good night Michael Joseph Jackson. May our loving God Jehovah keep you in his memory. Until then, sleep well. (John 5:28, 29; 11:11-14; Acts 15:24) Amen.
