A 60-year-old woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run motorist in the early morning hours recently in Watts.
The woman was walking south on Success Avenue near Imperial Highway at about 2:05 a.m., when she was struck by the motorist, said Officer Jeff Lee of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police had no description of the suspect or the vehicle, Lee said.
Officers asked anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the LAPD’s South Traffic Division at (323) 421-2577.
