I had a chat with a friend yesterday about getting out of the valley for good. She was feeling very discouraged. In her perspective, she felt like every time she climbed one mountain another one would show up. I understood completely. I don’t call myself the #ComebackQueen for nothing. Sometimes, I just wish I could be normal and not want so much out of life! LOL. But what do you do when you feel like the struggle won’t stop? How do you keep going?
- Know that you are not alone. As I recalled past moments of feeling the same way, and thinking about how it ended (in victory) I realized that God was always there. Yeah, I know when you are going through that isn’t your first thought. But, it is true. I’ve never had a victory ceremony that God was present at. It let me know…He was always there.
- He wants the best for you. Yes, you! God does not punish, but He is a pusher. He will push you in another direction if you are going the wrong way. It may not feel good, but the victory will be better than good if you don’t give up.
- Character is the wound you are left with. I’m not encouraging you to be super man or woman. The battles in life are not for the faint of heart. But to be a warrior, to become all God wants you to be your character is the muscle that God works.
Each time you rise up, you are saying yes to His will. Each time you rise up, you are saying you trust in the plans God has for you. The valley is where you learn the best lessons to navigate through life.
