The Taste of Soul Gospel Experience will feature vocalist and actress Eloise Laws, songstress Brenda Eager, award-winning Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, and the spiritual music of Black Onyx on Saturday, October 19, during the world’s largest family festival.
The Gospel Experience stage, located in the Angelus Funeral Home parking lot, will also highlight several artists as well as praise dancing, rap, spoken word, mime, and musicians.
Performances begin at 10 a.m., and continue throughout the day until 7 p.m. As in past years, Dr. Adrianne Moore and Dr. Helen Sellers will produce the show with assistance from Phelicia Wright, Patricia Wooten and Adrian Moore-Gonzalez.
Jessica Lauren Marshall and the Collective Hallucinations will join Ms. Laws, who is highly acclaimed for her distinctive musical repertoire. Also, her book, ‘The Healing Shower,’ will be released at the Taste of Soul Family Festival. In the book, Ms. Laws shares her personal journey surviving the “ups and downs” of breast cancer.
