The source of smooth R&B and jazz for Southern California, the 94.7 The Wave Stage is once again bringing musical icons to Taste of Soul in Sister Sledge and Jodi Watley. One of three entertainment stages at the largest, family festival in SoCal, 94.7 The Wave is known for its noteworthy line-up at Taste of Soul.   Sister Sledge are undisputedly one of the most iconic female groups of all time. Sisters, Debbie, Joni, and Kim (sister Kathy stepped away from the ensemble in 1989), are daughters of entrepreneur/actress Florez Sledge and acclaimed Broadway performer, Edwin Sledge. I am no fan of Omarosa Manigault Newman, the mononymous diva who dominates the airwaves whenever she wants to. Her new book, “Unhinged,” which I won’t read, is billed as a tell-all on “45’s” White House and its shenanigans. In making the rounds, “Omierosie” (my nickname for her) has played tapes that seem to corroborate at least some of her allegations about “45.” More importantly, her tapes are evidence that the game captured the hunter. In other words, Omierosie took a page from “45’s” book and trusted fewer people than even “45” did.

Beyonce continues to speak on her terms without words. Her latest conversation is through recently released behind the scenes videos, of her newly iconic photo shoot for Vogue. The internet went crazy as Beyonce made the cover of Vogue during her birthday month, making history by choosing the first African American photographer  to ever shot a Vogue cover, Tyler Mitchell.   During the released videos she shows off her motherly charm and gets her hair braided.     Some have questioned the length of Mrs. Carter hair and she gives you the reality of the length in the videos.
