Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced on Sept. 20 that a man has been charged with three counts of arson in connection with the fire that destroyed the Victory Baptist Church in South Los Angeles last week.
In response to the fire that burned Victory Baptist Church, the Office of Councilmember Curren Price will help to coordinate a task force made up of city departments to identify possible resources and services and has secured $50,000 in discretionary funds to disperse to the Victory Community Foundation to jump-start recovery efforts.
