The need for mental health services remains an urgent concern in the County of Los Angeles, and to meet the demand, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Dec. 7 for the opening of a new 24/7 Westside Mental Health Urgent Care Center located at 11444 W. Washington Blvd. “It’s a wonderful day. Fanfare, excitement and colorful balloons greeted Crenshaw residents on Tuesday, Oct. 20 when administrators from Kaiser Permanente held a groundbreaking ceremony to announce that a new medical facility is scheduled to be constructed near the corner of Marlton Avenue and Santa Rosalia Drive by the spring of 2017.
