L.A.-area Ministries Plan Various Events to Highlight Upcoming Holidays

Los Angeles-area ministries will observe the Thanksgiving holiday with a range of activities. The following list highlights some of the worship services, dinners and other plans shared with the Sentinel. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church – The Rev. Dr. Reginald A. Pope, pastor of Bethel, announce that his congregation will partner with the Black Peace Officers Association to share turkeys and food items with the community on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on the church campus located at 10905 S. In the midst of several calamities recently hitting the Southland, congregations of all faiths still retain their trust in God.  No doubt the Thousand Oaks killing of 12 people, the massive destruction by fire of homes and businesses and the ongoing violence gripping many communities has led to suffering and sadness, yet belief and dedication to the Almighty hasn’t wavered and has led many churches and ministries to host Thanksgiving services and events to express their gratefulness to the Lord.
