Celebration of Life Set for Lillie Benbow Jackson

The life of District Missionary Lillie Benbow Jackson will be celebrated on Friday, August 27, and Saturday, August 26, at 88th St. Temple Church of God in Christ, 8825 S. Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles. Superintendent Anthony L. Williams, who is the son of Jackson Benbow, is also the host pastor. Her body will lie in state on Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Her homegoing celebration will begin at 11 a.m. All services will take place at 88th St. Temple. Supt. George Clark Passes at 93

Superintendent George F. Clark, Jr., the pastor of the Heavenly Vision Church of God in Christ in Los Angeles, passed away on Feb. 2, his family sadly announced. He was 93 years old. Clark served 45 years as the spiritual leader of Heavenly Vision COGIC where he taught and preached the gospel of Jesus Christ. According to a family spokesperson, “He always demonstrated the love of God by reaching beyond the walls of his church to assist and help anyone who was in need.” Cherishing his memory are his wife of 50 years, Mother Lula Lindsey Clark; their five children;
