Wilson Focuses on Building New Relationships with God’s People –Inside and Outside Church Walls

Like many pastors, the Rev. Nicolette Birdsong Wilson wants her St. James AME Church congregation to grow spiritually and numerically. But, numbers play a lesser role than relationship building. St. James AME plans 70th anniversary events

Excitement is in the air at St. James AME Church as they prepare to present a variety of events during the month of September. According to Pastor Dwaine A. Jackson, the activities are part of the church’s 70th anniversary celebration. The theme is ‘Pressing Onward and Upward’ based on Philippians 3:14. “We are excited about what God has done and what he is doing at St. James AME and we invite the everyone to join us in this time of rejoicing,” said Jackson.
