Civil Rights Activists, NFL Players React to New National Anthem Policy

Civil rights activist Tamika Mallory says that the new NFL national anthem policy was an attempt to “resurrect slavery in the 21st century.” Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick began kneeling during the playing of the national anthem before NFL games to protest police brutality during the 2016 NFL season.
