Bryant Temple AME Church and the Bryant Temple Community Development Corporation co-sponsored a Juneteenth Block Party on Saturday, June 10 and more than 150 people attended the event held on the church’s campus.
The Rev. Vicki Hayden Lee will be the guest preacher at 110th Anniversary Celebration of Second AME Church on Sunday, August 19, at 10 a.m., at 5500 S. Hoover St., in Los Angeles. According to Pastor Carolyn Baskin-Bell, the theme is “Interfaith Connection: A Faith Journey Through Prayer.” Vivian Tinsley and Regina Howard-Johnson are the anniversary co-chairs.
