To help congregants make informed decisions during the Nov. 5 election, the Social Action Committee of Ward AME Church, under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Barry Settle, senior pastor, hosted a session outlining the pros and cons of state and local ballot measures and propositions.

An interfaith prayer breakfast will be among the highlights as Pastor Carolyn Baskin-Bell and the members of Second AME Church prepare to celebrate their 110th Anniversary. Second AME Church Celebrates 110th Anniversary

Pastor Carolyn Baskin-Bell and the members of Second AME Church will observe more than a century of Christian and community service during their 110th Anniversary Celebration. The rejoicing activities kick-off on Saturday, August 18, at 9 a.m. with an Interfaith Prayer Breakfast and continue on Sunday, August 19, at 10 a.m. with a worship service. Both events will be held in the church edifice located at 5500 S.
