Bryant Temple Sends Local Youth Back to School in Style

Bryant Temple AME Church continued its commitment to Leimert Park families with a Back to School Giveaway block party on August 19, that featured such essential services as high blood pressure and dental care screenings, free haircuts for children, and free school supplies. St. James AME plans 70th anniversary events

Excitement is in the air at St. James AME Church as they prepare to present a variety of events during the month of September. According to Pastor Dwaine A. Jackson, the activities are part of the church’s 70th anniversary celebration. The theme is ‘Pressing Onward and Upward’ based on Philippians 3:14. “We are excited about what God has done and what he is doing at St. James AME and we invite the everyone to join us in this time of rejoicing,” said Jackson.
