LADOT Transit Launches Demand-Response, Shared Ride Pilot Program in Los Angeles’ Westside

LADOT Transit announced the launch of an on-demand transportation service pilot program called LAnow that will serve the Del Rey, Venice, Mar Vista, and Palms neighborhoods of the City of Los Angeles beginning March 11, 2019. LAnow is a shared-ride service that matches passengers traveling to, from, and within Del Rey, Venice, Mar Vista, and Palms service areas. Assemblymember Sydney Kamlager-Dove’s Bill to Protect Children with Autism Moves Ahead in the State Legislature with Bipartisan Support

Assemblymember Sydney Kamlager-Dove’s (D-Los Angeles) bill, AB 189 (Kamlager-Dove) that would designate autism professionals as mandated reporters passed the Assembly Public Safety Committee  with unanimous support. The bill now heads to the Appropriations Committee. AB 189 clarifies that all Qualified Autism Service Practitioners (QASPs) are considered mandated reporters under the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA).
