Walker Temple AME Honors Member Winnie Stringer on 105th Birthday

After more than 10 decades of living, Mother Winnie Stringer still possesses a sound mind, unshakeable faith and elegant style. These qualities and more were highlighted as Pastor Marvin McKenzie and the members of Walker Temple AME Church gathered to celebrate Mother Stringer’s 105th birthday on Sunday, January 22.

The longest serving female member of Walker Temple AME Church marked her 101st birthday with a banquet at the edifice on Jan. 27. Pastor Marvin L. McKenzie saluted Mother Winnie C. Stringer, who also received tributes from her family, friends and Walker Temple members. “God has blessed us with Mother Stringer and each day is a testament of His grace and faithfulness, she is God’s jewel and our reminder of a wonderful Creator,” said McKenzie.
