In a storm of tweets Waters tore into Trump about the shutdown, started a new hashtag #ConManDon and reminded us back in 2017 she dubbed Trump and his allies the “Kremlin Klan”.          

Maxine Waters and NABJ Call Out CBS for Lack of African American Representation for 2020 Campaign Coverage

CBS associated producer Ben Mitchell recently tweeted  the networks “2020 Campaign Reporters and Producers” and social media quickly noticed its lack of representation of one of the nations key voting demographics. Congressmember Maxine Waters called the network out via Twitter and challenged them to live up to its proclaimed support for diversity. NABJ (National Association Black Journalist) president Sarah Glover replied to Mitchell’s tweet asking if they would be “adding team members”?

Rep. Waters Statement on Republican Voter Fraud in North Carolina

Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43) issued a statement on voter fraud allegations in the 2018 midterm election for North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District. The results of the race – which were initially projected in favor of Republican Mark Harris who had a 905-vote lead over Democrat Dan McCready — are under investigation after evidence of illegal activity by operatives associated with Mark Harris’ campaign was uncovered.

“I have been informed by U.S. Capitol Police that my Washington, DC office was the target of a suspicious package that has been referred to the FBI. I am appreciative of the law enforcement entities who intercepted the package and are investigating this matter. I unequivocally condemn any and all acts of violence and terror.”
