“I AM A CHAMPION” Celebrates Long-Term Survival of Blacks Living with HIV/ AIDS

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is an observance that aims to call attention to the impact of HIV in the Black community and the importance of representation in mental health and HIV-specific care. Studies have shown that people in Black communities are more likely to experience mental health challenges with HIV, which is magnified by the stigma and discrimination associated with the diagnosis.
