HUD brings holistic housing support to help low-income residents be more self-sufficient
Airbnb has partnered with Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County (NHS) to support its long standing “Don’t Move, Improve” program. This home rehabilitation loan program provides South LA homeowners with an opportunity to access no-interest and low-interest loans to improve their largest asset: their homes. Qualified applicants could have access to the funds they need to make long-overdue repairs like upgrading plumbing, painting or landscaping, and upgrading a bathroom.
At a news conference, Wells Fargo, NeighborWorks® America and its network member, Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County will announce the expansion of a multi-million dollar collaboration to boost homeownership. The NeighborhoodLIFT® program will offer $25,000 down payment assistance grants and homebuyer education for eligible Los Angeles County homebuyers. The free NeighborhoodLIFT homebuyer event takes place Feb. 1-2 at Los Angeles Convention Center, and interested homebuyers can register to attend beginning January 14 at www.wellsfargo.com/lift.
