Kelly: The Aftermath,” a four-part series that includes interviews with new survivors and experts on the case. ″Surviving R. Kelly ” was a six-part series that premiered last January. An estimated 12.8 million people watched the series, nominated for an Emmy, that revisited old allegations and brought new ones into the spotlight. Wendy’s Window: And Still I Rise

The news and media continue to unveil more and more stories about different levels of sexual abuse, sex trafficking and or harassment towards women and girls almost daily. Although we know this behavior has existed since the beginning of time, it is time the covers are thrown off and the truth be exposed.  I am sensitive to these stories because as a survivor, my heart breaks whenever I hear them and I understand how these women must feel. Women and girls who’ve experienced any type of abuse or domestic violence struggle with self-esteem issues and it oftentimes influences their psyche and future choices.  It is a process for us to dig ourselves out and understand that we still can rise.

Kelly.’ The six-hour docuseries will air in three installments: Thursday, January 3rd at 9 p.m. ET/PT; Friday, January 4th at 9 p.m. ET/PT; and Saturday, January 5th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.   On Saturday, August 25th, pop princess Aaliyah boarded a ten-seat twin-engine Cessna 402B in Nassau Bahamas  bound for Opa-Locka, Florida, with the pilot, Luis Morales III.  She boarded with seven members of her crew: video-production director Douglas Kratz, 28; bodyguard Scott Gallin, 41; hairstylists Anthony Dodd, 34, and Eric Forman, 29; Blackground Records executive Gina Smith, 30; makeup artist Christopher Maldonado, 32; and friend Keeth Wallace, 49. A few minutes after take off, the plane crashed just a few hundred feet from the runway. Aaliyah was among six passengers dead at the scene; three others passed away hours later.
