The Los Angeles Rams lost their second preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders at SoFi Stadium on Saturday, 34-17. Rams starting quarterback Matthew Stafford and star defensive tackle Aaron Donald did not see preseason action. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp remained out with a hamstring injury.

With 1:45 left in regulation, the Rams offense took the field and were down by six points against the Las Vegas Raiders. Quarterback Baker Mayfield had only been with the Rams for two days and mainly relied on his instincts to play. Despite almost making a turnover and being sacked for a nine-yard loss, Mayfield advanced the offense through passes. Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Keisean Nixon returned to his hometown of Compton to host a backpack giveaway to help young students for the upcoming school year.
