Reputed Gang Member Charged in USC Student’s Slaying

A reputed gang member was charged today with killing Victor McElhaney, a jazz student at the University of Southern California (USC), who was the son of an Oakland City Councilwoman Lynette Gibson McElhaney, during an attempted robbery just blocks from campus.
