On Saturday, October 17, the Taste of Soul family festival, despite of the current COVID-19 pandemic, found a way to bring the energy, spirit, love, essence, and tradition of the beloved festival with the Virtual Taste of Soul Experience, a three-hour program hosted by comedic actress, Kym Whitley, whose beautiful personality and talent was a major highlight of the show. The show was loaded with soulful musical performances from classic R&B, old-school rap, and gospel artists, with community panels, and segments empowering and supporting Black-owned restaurants.

Next Dimension University, a Bible college headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, will hold a grand opening of its Los Angeles Campus on January 28, at 7 p.m. at 4951 Figueroa Ave., in Los Angeles. The school offers Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctor’s degrees in several disciplines including biblical counseling, religious education, sacred music and theology. Training is also available for careers such as school principal, missionary ambassador, media specialist and motivational speaker. On Saturday, August 15, Next Dimension University (NDU) held its star-studded commencement and award ceremony at the West Angeles Cathedral in Los Angeles to celebrate a host of honorees and students who have committed their lives to a work in ministry. The honorees included recording artists Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, Hezekiah Walker, Judy Jacobs and Dr. Clarence McClendon, all of which received honorary doctorate degrees for their God-given talents and service to the community. The graduation ceremony was free to the public and offered exciting musical selections from gospel favorites, where the lively audience sang along and worshiped on one
