Eagle Wings of Enlightenment Center Marks 34th Anniversary

Eagle Wings of Enlightenment Center, a South Los Angeles nonprofit dedicated to peace and non-violence, celebrated its 34th Anniversary on Sept. 26. A capacity crowd turned out for the event held at The Proud Bird Restaurant and centered on theme, “Honoring the Indigenous Way of Life.”   Entertainment included Japanese drumming, African drumming,  an Aztec dance ceremony,  a Maori Haka warrior dance and Native flute music. Eagle Wings of Enlightenment Center Celebrates 32nd Year

  Eagle Wings of Enlightenment Center (EWEC), a L.A.-based organization dedicated to world peace, non-violence and uplifting consciousness, will celebrate its 32nd anniversary on September 26, at 6 p.m., at its facility located at 1439 W. 99th St., in Los Angeles. The public is invited to attend the celebration, which will feature performances by nationally known gospel singer Tony Lawson and producer and singer/songwriter Zuri. Also, a vegetarian meal also will be served. Shri Natha Devi Premananda (Mataji), a universal teacher for world peace, founded EWEC in 1985.
