A Salute to Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows

Reminiscent of pre-pandemic events, the Tuskegee Room of the Proud Bird Event Center was filled to capacity for a brunch hosted by Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary and Inglewood Park Cemetery. The gathering was held to honor and recognize ministers’ wives and ministers’ widows (MWMW) throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

What is your name and what is your ministry?  My name is Diane Mitchell Henry and I am a community social entrepreneur. How did you get started in it?  When I was a young girl, I use to travel to church conventions and revivals with my grandmother, Annie Troy, an evangelist. I was exposed to down-home folks committed to addressing the social issues that impacted the local community and around the world.   Members of the Cynthia Perry Ray Foundation (CPRF), an outreach of the Gardena Valley & Vicinity Ministers’ Wives & Ministers’ Widows Sisterhood Connection, united with local congregations to participate in the “Walk to Cure Arthritis” at Exposition Park on May 14.
