Sparks Players Compete in Unrivaled

The Unrivaled women’s three-versus-three basketball league will tip off on January 17 at 4:00P.M. Several prominent WNBA players will be competing in the 10-week league; five of whom played for the Los Angeles Sparks last season.

Sparks Struggle in Second Half, Lose to Mercury

The Los Angeles Sparks fell 81-85 against the Phoenix Mercury during their fan appreciation night.  The Sparks showed a competitiveness during  the first half that they were unable to maintain. The Mercury implemented a zone defense that the Sparks were not familiar with.

Sparks Lose to High-Scoring Liberty 87-79

The Los Angeles Sparks fell to the New York Liberty 87-79. New York sank 15 three-point shots, 10 more than the Sparks, and led by as much as 27 points in the matchup. Their effort on the offensive end held Los Angeles to 25 rebounds while they made 42.
