Sophomore Quarterback Austin Burton started his first collegiate game Saturday in place of injured starter Dorian Thompson-Robinson who is out indefinitely due to a left leg injury suffered against Arizona.

Upset hopes didn’t go as planned as (0-3) UCLA were defeated 48-14 by the #5 ranked (3-0) Oklahoma Sooners who got off to a strong start and never looked back.
Last football season was difficult for any fan of the USC Trojans or the UCLA Bruins. After two successful seasons, the Trojan hit a lull and finished with a middling 5-7 overall record. The Bruins struggled as they transitioned to Chip Kelly being at the helm, only securing three wins.
Friday night at the Rose Bowl was simple for the Bruins of UCLA. The Bruins had a galore of mistakes and missed tackles which resulted in an emphatic 43-10 blowout loss to the Utes of Utah in front of a season-low crowd of 41,848.
