George Floyd family attorney, Benjamin Crump, Anthony McClain, and co-counsel, Caree Harper, led a rally in front of Pasadena City Hall on Monday. Family members of McClain were joined by two of George Floyd’s brothers in demanding justice in the shooting of McClain who was shot last summer by a Pasadena police officer.
A candidate for Seat 162 on the March 3 ballot, she hopes to convince voters that the breathe of her experiences will benefit the people of Los Angeles County.
The Los Angeles City Council approved a $500,000 settlement last week for Los Angeles resident Clinton Alford, who was repeatedly kicked and punched and at one point spat on by an LAPD officer during a 2014 arrest.
On July 1, 2014 television viewers were horrified as video of 51-year-old, mentally disabled Marlene Pinnock being brutally beaten by California Highway Patrol officer Daniel Andrew surfaced. Pinnock was homeless at the time, and was reportedly not medicated.
