Taste of Soul Scholarship recipients
Taste of Soul Scholarships are awarded for outstanding community service in the areas of education, healthcare, domestic violence prevention or sustainability. Bakewell Media’s Taste of Soul has given thirteen $500 scholarships to youth who applied earlier this year. The following is a list of this year’s winners: Michael Allen graduated from St. Francis High School and will be attending Morehouse College in the Fall of 2015. Clippers Get Fined for Jordan, Snubs Channel Deal for Streaming Service
The return of DeAndre Jordan came with its own consequences, costing the Clippers a $250,000 fine for violating NBA rules. Despite the financial set back, Clippers owner Steve Ballmer recently turned down a $60 million deal with Fox Sports Regional Sports Network Prime Ticket Channel.
Sanaa Lathan to produce and star in Omar Tyree’s ‘Flyy Girl’
Sanaa Lathan will executive produce and star in the film adaptation of Omar Tyree’s classic book trilogy, “Flyy Girl”.
Lathan, who partnered with Lionsgate’s Codeblack Films to produce the film, will play the lead role of beautiful, smart and spoiled Tracey Ellison.
