A streaky offense down the stretch would give the USC Trojans men’s basketball team an early exit out of March Madness. The Michigan State Spartans defeated the Trojans 72-62 in the first round of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament.
USC senior guard Boogie Ellis scored a career-high of 31 points to help conquer the nationally-ranked UCLA Bruins Men’s basketball team 77-64.
Three local Pac-12 teams will be moving on to postseason competition. The UCLA women’s basketball team will compete in the WNIT as the UCLA and USC men’s teams will head to the NCAA Tournament.
