AMEs Kick-off ‘Season of Pentecost’ at 94th Annual Conference

Declaring a “season of Pentecost,” Bishop Clement W. Fugh, presiding prelate of the 5th Episcopal District of the AME Church, and Episcopal Supervisor Alexia Butler Fugh, will emphasize spiritual renewal and revival during the 94th Session of the Southern California Annual Conference. The five-day symposium, which opens Wednesday, Oct. 17, and concludes Sunday, Oct. 21, brings together hundreds of AMEs representing 50+ churches in Southern California and Nevada to participate in the business sessions, workshops and worship services held at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel, 5711 W. Fugh to Preach at Brookins-Kirkland AME

Bishop Clement W. Fugh, presiding prelate of the 5th Episcopal District of the AME Church, will preach on Sunday, July 1, at 9 a.m., at Brookins-Kirkland Community AME Church, 3719 West Slauson Ave., in Los Angeles. According to Pastor Mary S. Minor, the appearance will mark the bishop’s first time conducting the Communion Service at BKCAME Church and the congregation is excited about his participation. “Bishop Fugh is well known for delivering insightful, Christ-centered and powerful sermons. We look forward to fellowshipping in worship with him,” said Minor. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Fugh was elected and consecrated as the
