Fans had the chance to see the actor in a different light as he portrayed Treach, the lead rapper of the acclaimed hip hop group Naughty by Nature, in “All Eyez on Me.”

Directed by Benny Boom and starring new comer Demetrius Shipp Jr., as Shakur, the film—which opens nation wide on June 16, the late rapper’s 46th birthday—is already no stranger to controversy with lengthy legal battles on “who and who does not” have the right to tell the slain rapper/actor/activist story.
I caught up with Karl Kani on Fathers’ Day having just finished viewing the Netflix documentary “Fresh Dressed” to chat about the new film “All Eyez All Me” in which his clothing is prominently featured.
Producer L.T. Hutton says he used the “Holy Trinity” concept to develop the film, including scenes that displayed “who 2Pac was, who he wanted to be, and who he had to be in order to survive the world he was introduced into”, he said.
